The Virtual Banff Jasper Relay for 2020
How to enter:
A team of the original 15, an individual, or any number of people can join up to run the total distance of the relay – 260km - by September 6th.
Team Registration is FREE! You read that correctly – the virtual run is free of charge!
Why are we doing this?

To continue to support the Brain Tumour Foundation through our donations.

To provide a safe, positive, meaningful activity as we learn to live our lives in the midst of a global pandemic.

To preserve the legacy of the Banff Jasper Relay and to say we never missed a year since 2005!
Here is how it works:
STEP 1 – Pick your TEAM Name, Team Captain, and REGISTER your team!

To enter a team, register on the BJR website. Have your Team Captain register here

Donate to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, register your team on the Brain Tumour Donation system

Join our race community at Banff Jasper Relay Forum on Facebook and share your Team information on the Facebook page! Chatter and banter is welcome!

Get creative with your team photo for a chance to win a prize!

Registration opens TODAY on May 31st and closes on August 31st

Typically registration includes a BJR race T-Shirt and is included with your registration. This year, order and pay direct from our local supplier Calgary Silkscreen and have it delivered to your home! Stay tuned - more information on this to come!
STEP 2 – RUN and have FUN!

The virtual relay starts on June 6 at 7:00 am and is open until September 6, at 5:00pm.

Whether you run the entire race over the summer, or your team picks a day or weekend to complete the total distance, you can run any place, any time throughout the virtual relay, and at your own pace!

Runners are not to run on the BJR racecourse on race day. Please run at home, in your neighbourhood, on your favourite path, or anywhere else! Be sure to share photo’s for an opportunity to win!

Any running on the BJR racecourse is not sanctioned or part of the relay.

Runners can log their time in an app or on a smart watch, but times are not checked and runners are on the honor system.
STEP 3 – Submit your time!

After your entire team has run, have the Team Captain submit your teams total time, individual times, and total funds raised for the Brain Foundation by entering it IN THE FORM HERE
STEP 4 – Check your race time and see if you WON!

RACE PHOTOS - Of course the Banff Jasper relay is usually on one of the most beautiful race courses in the world – the scenic Highway 1A (Bow Valley Parkway) and Highway 93 (Icefields Parkway). This year participants are asked to take a picture on their run and share it with the race community at Banff Jasper Relay Forum on Facebook .
